The Nila Shirt is a timeless creation, embracing elegance and endurance. This classic button-down embodies sophistication and is destined to become a wardrobe essential. Crafted from luxuriously soft, handwoven linen, it ages gracefully, boasting a lightness and breathability unique to hand woven fabric.  

Designed for a flattering, relaxed fit, this shirt complements the refined silhouette of the standing collar. Hand-embroidered tagai work in natural indigo-dyed yarn adorns the placket and collar, and a discreet embroidered indigo leaf detail on the inside cuff adds subtle sophistication and is revealed with rolled sleeves.

The linen has been woven by the Kanhirode Weavers Co-operative Society that has been supporting traditional skills and the upliftment of the local community of artisans in Kannur, Kerala since 1952. Each shirt has been stitched by women artisans at Sadhna, a wonderful organisation in Udaipur, Rajasthan that Nila works with closely.

Composition and Care

100% handloom linen with indigo details  Hand wash in cold water; wash separately the first few times.

The textile may carry some subtle irregularities. This is a part of the beauty of handmade textiles.
