Veku's cushion New

Veku's Cushion is a product of Nila's collaboration with Vekuvolu Dozo, an artisan-entrepreneur from Dimapur, Nagaland. Veku has turned her heritage into a successful independent studio, employing women weavers from the region. Veku's cushions have been crafted in her studio.

Using pure organic cotton, the cushions have been designed, woven and stitched in Nagaland. The yarn used for weaving has been dipped multiple times in natural indigo vats in Sawantwadi, Maharashtra to reach the deep indigo hue.

The weaving is done on the traditional loin looms used in the region are in the short-width format (backstrap loom).

Veku’s cushion comes in two sizes for a beautiful and striking stacking option.  On its own or in an ensemble of a mix-match cushion set, Veku’s Cushion is versatile enough to fit into any interior scheme, bringing the soothing beauty of indigo and handmade textiles to any space.

 Composition and care: 

100% handwoven cotton

Hand wash separately in cold water 

The rich natural colour of the Indigo yarn may fade slightly over time, with exposure to direct sunlight. The textile may carry subtle irregularities – this is a part of the beauty of handmade textiles.
