JAALI KURTA Cloud White

2,290MRP (Incl. of all taxes)

The Kurta is a centuries-old, iconic Indian garment that embodies the essence of timeless design. This iteration of the kurta from the Nila studio comes with delicate jaali detailing at the neckline. Named after intricate Mughal stonework used in windows, this lattice-like stitch technique gives clothing a sense of lightness and ephemerality, though the stitch itself gives strength and longevity to the garment.

The fabric for the kurta has been woven on pit looms in Murshidabad, West Bengal, using hand-spun cotton yarn. The jaali embroidery and final stitching has been done by artisans at the Jodhpur-based non-profit Saheli Women.

Designed to carry a sense of relaxed elegance, the Jaali Kurta transitions beautifully from an everyday staple to a semi-formal piece of sustainable, stylish clothing.
